3/23/2015 0 Comments All the way to AsiaThis week we will learn about Asia! Many students mentioned that they have family members that have traveled to China, Japan, India, and or Korea. If your child would like to bring something to share, we would love that!
Second quarter report cards will go home on Friday. Please keep the report card and documents but return the envelope. Let me know if you have any questions. Optional conferences are on April 10th, but if you would like to meet sooner, I would prefer to do so. I can meet Monday and Thursday mornings or most afternoons. Please sign up for the last month of volunteers! We do not have volunteers in May as we prepare the students to be independent and ready for first grade. Homework: 1.1 and 5.1 from Amplify, sight words, reading eggs, and raz-kids.

3/2/2015 0 Comments Read Across America Day!Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! Today is Read Across America Day. We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss and our growing readers all week. Tomorrow, we will have a pajama day for filling our jewel jar (we have not actually filled it yet, but I have a feeling that will magically happen today!). The kids may bring in a favorite book to read and share and a reasonably sized blanket to snuggle.
A few reminders: Snack- Please make sure your child has a healthy snack every day. We have run out of our classroom supply. Jump Rope For Heart Forms were due last week. If you have not sent yours in, please do so. Canned Food Drive- The kids are so excited. Our class has already collected over 30 cans. Thank you for donating. This will continue through Wednesday. |
