Kid, you'll move mountains.

12/1/2014 0 Comments Sensing WinterI hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving and your long weekend at home and were able to spend time as a family and relax. Thank you so much for giving the gift of time with your precious child. I cannot put into words how much I love my job because I get to spend time with funny, caring, adventurous, sweet kids. Thanks again for sharing your child with me this year.
Remember to work on the holiday tree homework due Thursday December 4th. I moved reading levels up on Raz-Kids. Log-on to check progress, read for fluency and take quizzes fro comprehension. Your child can even record reading for me to listen to! Don't forget about ReadingEggs. The phonics instruction on that program is HIGHLY effective. It is hard to believe that kindergarten is almost half done! We will begin mid-year testing after Thanksgiving break. We spread the assessments over the three weeks so we are not overwhelming the kids. Please let me know if you will be missing school so I can plan assessing your child. We will be learning about the 5 senses, writine non-fiction stories, decomposing numbers, and winter holidays over the next few weeks. It is a busy and exciting time!
